Two awards for Berkshire coaching inn

Congratulationsn go to The Olde Bell in the village of Hurley, near Maidenhead, which picked up two awards this week. At the Restaurant and Bar Design Awards 2009, it walked away with ‘Best Overall UK Restaurant Design’ and the other for ‘Best Restaurant Interior’.

Parts of this building date back to 1135, with nooks and crannies and crooked floors. It is only an hour from central London, 20 minutes from Heathrow and has good transport links. Despite its history, it has kept with the times and has wifi throughout, making it a modern day inn within an historic frame.
