Time Out has published a guide offering fun and credit crunching activities for under £10 and they include; Falcon watching on the South Bank. Volunteers from the Royal Society for the Protection for Birds can be found outside the Tate Modern with relescopes, offering passers by the opportunity to spot Falcons perched on top of the building.
Visit Erno Goldfinger’s House, now owned by the National Trust. Built in 1939 the architects home still has Goldfinger’s books and art collection still in place, you will feel as though Erno has only just stepped out. Admission is £5.10.
Visit the waxworks at Westminster Abbey Museum which is completely free of charge and contains a series of extraordinary wooden and wac effigies. The wooden ones are the earliest known likenesses of English Medieval Monarchs. The waxworks date from the late 17th century and include Charles II and Queen Anne.
