Last weekend saw the second Dorset Knob Throwing & Frome Valley Food Festival take place in the Dorset village of Cattistock. It included all kinds of activities such as ‘guess the weight of the Big Knob’ and a ‘knob and spoon race’. A ‘knob’ – for those of you who are a little bemused – is a local, savoury, crumbly biscuit, often eaten with cheese.
