Today’s picture of the day is of Lavenham Guildhall in Sudbury, Suffolk. It is a beautiful and unspoiled medieval town and home to a stunning timber-framed building which dominates the market place. The building has a colourful history and was once Lavenham’s town hall, a prison, workhouse, wool store and World War Two housing for evacuees. Today it is a museum of Lavenham’s history and wool trade.
