Today’s picture of the day is of Maelmin Heritgae Trail and is near to the picturesque village of Milfield in Northumberland. It features The Dark Age hut which is replica of a farmer’s dwelling as it would have been in 500AD. There is also the Mesolithic hut which mimicks a 10,000 year old dwelling and was specially built for the popular TV programme, meet the Ancestors.
