Picture of the day: White Cliffs of Dover

Today’s picture of the day is of the White Cliffs of Dover.  The famous cliffs are situated on the southeast corner of Kent.  From the English Channel they are a magnificent sight and are made from chalk deposits.  They have a colourful history and were once a much needed defence from invading armies.
