On my way to yet another Great North Run

I am currently on my way into Newcastle City Centre for the Great North Run, the largest half marathon in the world with over 50,000 other runners.  The course runs from Newcastle to South Shields, covering 13.1 miles along the way.  Those of you who have taken part in this event before will know what a great day it is.  I’m no stranger to it… as it happens, this will be my 11th Great North Run on the trot – ‘trotting’ being the operative word as I seem to get a bit slower each year!

Good luck to all those taking part…
