Edradour is Scotland’s smallest distillery. The whisky is hand made today as it was over 150 years ago by just three men who are devoted to tradition and time-honoured methods. The distillery is only just capable of producing commercial quantities – on average just 12 casks of whisky are produced a week, making Edradour single malt a rare pleasure for those who discover it.

Leading designer Katharine Pooley and her team have successfully re-designed the interior of Forter Castle, a 16th Century fortified tower in Perthshire, Scotland. The property retains the historical charms and character of the original, built during the lifetime of Mary Queen of Scots and has been sympathetically updated with modern-day comforts in the style of a grand Scottish residence replete with four poster beds, free-standing cast iron bathtubs and a grand banqueting hall. Each room has been personalised with antiques, paintings and objets d’art from around the world and traditional techniques have been used where possible.
The castle sleeps twelve guests in rooms spread over five floors and is also the perfect location for an intimate Highland wedding with its very own chapel for a unique day. It costs £3,500 for one week (Friday to Friday) and £2,500 for the weekend (Friday to Monday).
