Picture of the day: Hailes Abbey, Cheltenham

Today’s picture of the day is of Hailes Abbey in the beautiful town of Cheltenham in Gloucester.  It was founded in 1246 but was demolished in the 16th Century and now lies in ruins.  Legend has it that it houses a vial of Christ’s blood which attracted many Mediaeval Pilgrims.  There is a small museum onsite.
