Britain’s 10 greenest cities

Newcastle-upon-Tyne has come out on top in Forum for the Future’s annual study which looks at the sustainability of Britain’s 20 biggest cities, measuring factors such as air quality, wildlife and quality of life.  Bristol, which topped the list last year, was pushed down to second place and Brighton and Hove came third. Here’s the top 10:

  1. Newcastle
  2. Bristol
  3. Brighton and Hove
  4. Leicester
  5. London
  6. Leeds
  7. Edinburgh
  8. Nottingham
  9. Sheffield
  10. Cardiff
