Phoenix Square opens its doors to the public on 19th November 2009, providing a state-of-the-art home for independent cinema and the digital arts in Leicester. But it’s much more than that. The distinctive green building – designed by award-winning architects Marsh:Grochowski – also houses 63 individually-designed apartments, 22 workspaces, seven duplex business units and eight start-up units for creative businesses. It’s a building that’s set to create a new community in Leicester’s emerging Cultural Quarter, providing a place where people can work, live and play.
