Longleat, better known for it’s wildlife park, has now opened a field with what the park calls Octopads. In essence these are tents, but with a rigid frame and raised painted wooden floor with rugs so adding a little extra comfort and best of all you don’t need to spend half an hour putting it up.
The brightly coloured Octopad’s come with 1 x double bed and 2 x single beds to accommodate a family of four (bedding not included), and a canvas partition to separate the sleeping area from the rest of the “tent”.
For those seeking something a little more traditional, there are also Longleat Bell Tents which feature 4 x single camp beds and groundsheet.
So if the idea of waking up to the sound of lions roaring or wolves howling sounds like your kindof holiday, pop over to the Longleat web site for more details.
Of course if you want to visit Longleat but perhaps want a little more comfort, there are a range of self-catering and campsites around Longleat (press the search button after the page loads).
