In a bid to encourage golfers to the lowlands of Scotland, the Scottish tourism authorities have developed the Freedom of the Fairways golf pass which gives attractive rates for a number of golf courses across southern Scotland.
The courses include The Roxburghe near Kelso which is a favourite of Ryder Cup player Sam Torrance and Cardrona Golf and Country Club near Peebles along with Innerleithen, Melrose, Eyemouth courses and more than a dozen others.
Various passes are available from one day, 3 day and 5 days along with other discounts.
