The impact of NDM-1 on UK tourism?

If you haven’t already heard about it, there’s a potentially nasty superbug doing the rounds, globally.  While there have been a few reported cases in the UK, the bulk are in the Indian subcontinent and other parts of Asia.  If it were to spread, as some predict it may, could it result in more UK holidaymakers preferring to stay at home?

    Can I point out that this is NOT a virus? An analogy would be that it is a software update for some types of bacteria that allow it to produce an enzyme capable of neutralising a certain class of antibiotics.
