According to reports from residents of Yorkshire and Cumbria, and the Press Association there was another 3.6 magnitude earthquake felt across Cumbria, North & West Yorkshire tonight.
The quake which hit around 9pm, was fractionally larger in magnitude than the 3.5 felt two weeks ago which originated in Coniston. The epicentre of this new earthquake is still being investigated although the British Geological Survey suggest it is likely to be around Ripon in North Yorkshire.
No damage has been reported so far, but once again it apparently sounded a bit like a train rumbling by according to those posting on the Facebook web site about it a few minutes ago. More updates as they come in.

We live between Ampleforth and Wass. I did not realise it was an earthquake I thought it was snow moving off the roof of the house and bumping to the ground -which it does on occasions then I realised that the snow had gone.
Unlike the last, I didn’t feel this one here in Kendal…
i thought it was a cargo train going past the back of my house but my son who sleeps in the attic said his bed was shaking he was a scared by it
