Dull and Boring… Boring and Dull

The Scottish village of Dull (yes, there is a village by that name!) in Perthshire is looking to forge ties with the American town of Boring.  The link is the brainchild of a Perthshire resident who passed through Boring in the US state of Oregon on a cycling holiday.

An official twinning of the two is apparently not possible because Boring – with its timber logging industry and a popular of 12,000 people – is so much bigger than the tiny village of Dull, but a partnership of some kind is being considered.  If it gets the go-ahead, Dull could get a new road sign to highlight the partnership.
