Day 8 of the Olympic Torch relay – Cardiff to Swansea

Today is day 8 of 70 for the London 2012 Olympic torch relay and will see the torch travel from Cardiff at 6.29am to Swansea at 5.45pm, passing through Dinas Powys, Barry, Cardiff (again!), Caerphilly, Pontypridd, Merthyr, Tydfil, Treherbert, Ynyswen, Treorchy, Nant-y-moel, Ogmore Vale, Bryncethin, Bridgend, Laleston, Pyle, Margam, Taibach, Port Talbot, Briton Ferry and Neath along the way.

Interestingly, someone has pieced together a video showing how the torch route in Swansea might have looked had there been a torch relay back in 1908, the year of the first London Olympic Games:

Now that we’ve entered the second week of the torch relay, we’d like to hear from you… what was your own personal highlight from the first week?
