Day 19 of the Olympic Torch relay – Dublin to Belfast

Today is day 19 of 70 for the London 2012 Olympic torch relay and will see the torch travel from Dublin at 9:38am to Belfast at 4:49pm, passing through Newry and Lisburn along the way.

The flame will start the day with a “skywalk” over a glass section of the new roof at the Croke Park stadium. From there it winds around the Irish capital and briefly leaves the UK, heading to Belfast for the evening.

There will be a hand-over at the border, involving boxers Wayne McCullough and Michael Carruth. Olympic gold medallist Dame Mary Peters and pop duo Jedward will also be among today’s torchbearers.
