Day 25 of the Olympic Torch relay – Aberdeen to Dundee

Today is day 25 of 70 for the London 2012 Olympic torch relay and will see the torch travel from Aberdeen at 7:21am to Dundee at 6:14pm, passing through Stonehaven, Marykirk, Hillside, Montrose, Brechin, Forfar, Meigle, Coupar Angus, Woodside, Burrelton, Balbeggie, Scone, Scone Palace, Perth, Abernethy, Newburgh, Cupar, Dairsie, Guardbridge and Leuchars along the way.

The historic Scone Palace in Perth will be one of the attractions that the flame visits during this afternoon’s journey.

Once in Dundee, the torch will be carried by nine different torchbearers including double amputee and amateur athlete Ronnie McIntosh and a 94-year-old former Japanese prisoner of war, Andy Coogan, who just happens to also be Olympic gold medallist Chris Hoy’s uncle, too.
