Day 32 of the Olympic Torch relay – Hull to York

Today is day 32 of 70 for the London 2012 Olympic torch relay and will see the torch travel from Hull at 7:09am to York at 5:24pm, passing through Brough, Goole, Camblesforth, Selby, Monk Fryston, Barkston Ash, Tadcaster, Boston Spa, Wetherby, Harewood, Knaresborough, Harrogate and Ripon along the way.

Highlights today will include the flame being welcomed to Harewood House by Princess Beatrice, and the torch being ridden on horseback to York Racecourse by former showjumper Harvey Smith. Here’s footage of Smith in action at the 1986 Hickstead Derby.

The relay will cover 150 miles today and finish with an evening celebration at the racecourse once Smith sets a cauldron alight.
