Opening today – Edvard Munch: The Modern Eye

Today is the opening day of Edvard Munch: The Modern Eye at the Tate Modern. Few other modern artists are better known and yet less understood than this Norwegian master. This extensive exhibition examines the artist’s work from the 20th century with sixty paintings, many from the Munch Museum in Oslo, and a rare showing of his work in film and photography.

If you think you already know Edvard Munch, think again. You can book tickets online, plus you can enhance your perspective on Edvard Munch through a number of other related events such as a talk and private viewing, (2nd July 2012) and a symposium (13th October 2012).
