Day 47 of the Olympic Torch relay – Peterborough to Norwich
Today is day 47 of 70 for the London 2012 Olympic torch relay and will see the torch travel from Peterborough at 7:15am to Norwich at 5:57pm, passing through Market Deeping, Thurlby, Bourne, Spalding, Moulton, Whaplode, Holbeach, Long Sutton, King’s Lynn, South Wootton, Sandringham Estate, West Rudham, East Rudham, Fakenham, Holt, Cromer and Aylsham along the way.
Perhaps the most notable place the torch will visit today will be Sandringham House, the Queen’s Norfolk retreat. It will also call at Cromer Pier and finish the day’s proceedings with an evening celebration at Chapelfield Gardens in Norwich.
Today’s torchbearers include the Olympians Marlon Devonish and Goldie Sayers.
