Day 63 of the Olympic Torch relay – Maidstone to Guildford

 

Today is day 63 of 70 for the London 2012 Olympic torch relay and will see the torch travel from Maidstone at 6:42am to Guildford at 6:13pm, passing through Gillingham, Chatham, Rochester, Higham, Gravesend, Borough Green, Seal, Sevenoaks, Riverhead, Godstone, Bletchingley, Redhill, Reigate, Dorking, Westcott, Shere and Godalming along the way.

The day will finish with the torch calling at Guildford Cathedral before an evening celebration at Stoke Park on the edge of Guildford – an event which is expected to attract around 25,000 people.  The flame will leave the site by helicopter at around 7.30pm to be taken to the Tower of London.
