Olympic minister drops a clanger outside HMS Belfast

Jeremy Hunt, Minster for the Olympics, has really excelled himself with a clanger of Olympic proportions.  Having just uttered the words “I can’t say there won’t be hitches… there are also going to be one or two teething problems, and when there are things that don’t go according to plan, London will cope in the way that it always has…”

…he then proceeded to do this…

You couldn’t really make it up, could you?  Naturally, the incident is already becoming the butt of a few jokes:
