Picture of the day: Five Sailed Windmill, Lincolnshire

Today’s picture of the day is of the Five Sailed Windmill in Lincolnshire.  It is situated on the edge of a picturesque market town and is one of England’s best working windmills.  The Mill shop sells organic stone ground flours made in the windmill and visitors can see the grinding in process.  The Tea Room serves refreshments and snacks in the old Engine House.

Today’s picture of the day is of Chislehurst Caves in Kent.  Visitors travel back in time as they explore the dark and mysterious passageways beneath the area of Chislehurst.  45 minute guided tours are available showing you the tunnels made famous as a shelter in World War II.  Don’t forget a lantern!

Today’s picture of the day is of Blakemere Craft Centre in Cheshire.  It offers 30 shops which are surrounded by picturesque Edwardian stables.  In the shops you will find soft furnishings, ladies clothing, handmade chocolates, fine art and much more.  There is a Tropical Garden centre with an array of plants and a Falconry Centre with displays from birds of prey.
