Yorkshire Moors and Coast: try one new thing

The Yorkshire Moors and Coast Tourism Partnership (YMCTP) challenge the nation to try one new thing as part of a drive to get people to make some spectacular New Year’s resolutions this year.

With a wide range of adventurous activities, the Yorkshire Moors and Coast is an ideal location for people looking to kick start a new hobby or even just try something different.

Visitors can handle birds of prey. Try orienteering in woodland areas and allow themselves to be pulled around a purpose built circuit by a group of powerful huskies. They can try more unusual forms of transport by saddling up and leading a horse over beach, moorland and forest or take control of a glider in the company of a professional instructor.

Visitors with nerves of steel can build a raft and sail it around Scarborough harbour or jump off a platform 160ft above the sea dressed as Dracula.
