The Caravan Club has reported a 40% increase in advanced caravan holiday bookings for 2009. The National Caravan Council (NCC) believes that the number of Britons choosing UK caravan holidays could reach around 13.9 million, beating the expected UK visitors travelling to Spain this year. Director of the NCC, John Nally commented, “There is evidence that existing caravan owners are using their caravans more and caravans, motor homes and caravan holiday homes have changed beyond recognition in the last decade boasting excellent leisure facilities and high levels of service.” These factors and the current economic climate have attracted families to a more cost effective and greener holiday option.
