The Grosvenor House is one of London’s grandest and most historic hotels and boasts the city’s largest banqueting hall. It dates back to 1929 and was a favourite among the rich and frequent guests included Orson Welles, Eva Fitzgerald and Henry Kissinger. The Queen Mother often danced at its magnificent balls. The hotel has just undergone a £100million refurbishment creating an open and airy interior. The lobby is welcoming and features wonderful polished marble and pretty floral arrangements. The guest rooms are large and luxurious with marble bathrooms and exquisite furnishings. At the moment there are fairly good deals to be had and prices are surprisingly comparable to nearby so called budget hotels.
