The popular Haymarket area of Edinburgh is undergoing a £250 million redevelopment at the heart are plans for a 17 storey, 192 room InterContinental Hotel opening in 2013. It will be a five star hotel aimed at the business traveler. The Managing Director of developer Tiger Developments comments, “Bringing InterContinental to Scotland’s capital is good news for Edinburgh. The planned five-star hotel would significantly improve Edinburgh’s top class hotel offering, bringing an internationally recognised brand and considerable prestige to city.”
