Poole, Dorset and Bournemouth have teamed together and launched a campaign targeting Britons encouraging them to remain in the UK for their holidays this year. It will focus on the enjoyable experiences that the areas have to offer as well as the benefits of cost saving in the current recession. All three towns between them offer 10 miles of beautiful sandy beaches and in excess of 500 hotels and 400 restaurants. Bournemouth Tourism Management Board said “Having enjoyed huge success individually, we are now joining forces to offer an even better unrivalled range of holiday experiences at unbeatable prices. Between them, Bournemouth, Poole and Dorset attract some seven million visitors a year, many of whom return time after time.” The first stage of the campaign will be targeted at people planning a spring break running from 25th March to 5th April 2009.
