Shakespeare House

Shakespeare House opened in September 2008 and is a typically British hotel set in the heart of Buckinghamshire.  Partners Roy Elsbury and Nick Hunter turned their beautiful historic home into a fabulous guest house with five guest rooms and an adequate number of bathrooms.  The house is part Elizabethan and part Georgian and each room is named after a famous Shakespeare tale; Titania’s Bower, Puck etc.  It is said that Shakespeare himself resided here when it served as a coaching inn and his inspiration for ‘A Midsummer Nights Dream’ was taken from the wonderful thick woods surrounding the house.  A luxurious boutique hotel, the guest rooms feature original lattice windows, beams, silk curtains and comfortable furniture.
