Plan to boost visitors in Yorkshire

A publicity campaign has been launched to boost the number of visitors in Yorkshire.  Using a new website and marketing campaign, Pennine Yorkshire and West Yorkshire will be promoted.  There will be a focus on Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, Hebden Bridge, Haworth and Holmfirth, as well as the beautiful surrounding areas of Leeds and Wakefield.  The marketing campaign will include press advertising, an inspirational brochure, events and exhibitions.  The manager at West Yorkshire Tourism Partnership, Liz Tattersley believes that the current economic climate will encourage m ore visitors to take trips within these shores and the new website and marketing campaign will capitalise on this.  Visitors to this area can expect beautiful open moorland, stunning wooded valleys and a strong industrial heritage.
