Increase in coach travel

According to Travelbite passenger figures travel on National Express coaches are up more than 20 percent compared to last year.  The most popular destination for people escaping London are Western-Super-Mare, Bristol, Brighton, Bournemouth and Birmingham.  There are many advantages to travelling by coach such as the fact that coaches reduce congestion; one mile of traffic is equal to one coach on the road, and it is the most environmentally friendly public transport, cleaner than the train, plane and automobile.  Other advantages include excellent value for money and a guaranteed seat.  National Express coaches is the UK’s only nationwide travel operator, running services to 1,800 destinations throughout England, Scotland and Wales every day.
