New Marriott Hotel in Twickenham

A new 156 room Marriott Hotel has opened at Twickenham Stadium.  The new hotel has 12 suites including six with pitch views, a contemporary chop house restaurant, stylish bar and cafe lounge.  The opening rates for a standard room start from £125 per night.  The hotel is conveniently situated just 6 miles from Heathrow Airport and just 20 minutes from Twickenham railway station.  The hotel provides all the facilities you would expect from a modern Marriott Hotel.  Paul Davies, the general manager comments ‘Twickenham is one of the world’s most iconic sports stadiums and the new Marriott Hotel is the key link it it’s development.  we aim to make it the UK’s ultimate destination for business, leisure and sport.’

    If you’re a big rugby fan then I can see this being a good draw, especially for match weekends. I wonder whether being located next to the stadium will be a help or hindrance on non-match days?

    Sounds like a great location, with the airport so close as well.

    I would imagine on non-match days, the stadium is used for all manner of corporate events, etc. so the hotel will probably be an ideal choice for attendees to those kinds of events.
