A new tour has opened at The Scotch Whisky Experience thanks to the fabulous Edinburgh attraction getting a £3m facelift. Opened by Scotland’s first minister, Alex Salmond, the tour includes an updated hi-tech version of the much-loved barrel ride and culminates in entry to a stunning purpose-built vault of glass containing the World’s Largest Collection of Scotch Whiskies.
It is run by an experienced and enthusiastic team and encompasses not only the new barrel ride which takes the visitor through the whisky making process, but also personalised whisky tastings using scratch and sniff aroma cards, sensory rooms, and a superb new demonstration area with panoramic views over the city.
