Head on down to Hastings for the sixth annual World Crazy Golf Championships on 24th & 25th October 2009. It’s not too late to enter (application form here) and compete against five time winner and local man, Tim ‘Ace Man’ Davies, who could be having to defend his title against, among others, the world number two John ‘Big Top Ted’ McIver. All competitors will complete six rounds before the grand final, when the World Crazy Golf Champion will be decided on Sunday afternoon.
In previous years players have come from as far afield as India, Tibet, the Czech Republic and Finland as well as all the home nations, and famous faces including Colin Jackson and Phil Tufnell have competed.
Spectators are welcome and all eyes will be on the October weather which can be so fickle. In past years, the players have contended with strong winds and rain, but short of a snow-storm or heavy lightning, the tournament will go ahead.
