Sheffield’s newest four star hotel has scooped a coveted award for its 1855 Restaurant, at a glitzy awards ceremony held at Sheffield’s Cutler’s Hall. The Copthorne Sheffield took home the award for best ‘Modern European Restaurant’ for its AA rosetted restaurant, 1855, at the city’s eatSheffield awards – and was also one of three finalists in the Best Newcomer category.
Celebrating winning the award was the Copthorne’s Michelin starred chef, Daniel James, who is soon to be leaving the hotel to move back to South Wales to be closer to his family. His replacement is to be announced shortly.
