Wales to be represented on new Union Jack

Welsh Union JackParliament is this morning expected to approve the decision to allow the Welsh dragon to be represented on the Union Jack. Until now, Wales has not been represented on the Union flag because when it was first conceived in 1606, Wales was already united with England from the 13th Century. Legislation will be passed banning the display or possession of the old style Union Jacks without the Welsh representation.  This has a number of implications: Mini owners, for example, who have car roofs which display the flag will have to be updated, VisitBritain will be forced to amend its logo, and many men across the UK will need to purchase new Union Jack boxer shorts.
