Serenata – The UK’s First Classical Music Festival

There are many pop, rock and jazz festivals around the UK each year, but one thing that has always been missing is a proper classical music festival.

Now Serenata brings that concept to the UK with the first UK music festival dedicated to classical music. The lineup isn’t just confined to the BBC Symphonic Orchestra – there are many big names performing such as Katherine Jenkins, Russell Watson, Blake, Faryl Smith and Geoff Sewell amongst others.

This won’t quite be Glastonbury as there will be boutique camping, stunning scenery and gourmet food available, so perhaps more a luxury and slightly middle-class version of Glastonbury.

The Serenata festival runs from the 26-28 August 2010.
