TasteCard offers either 50% off your bill or 2 for 1 offers at over 3500 restaurants – ideal for those who eat out a lot in the capital.
The TasteCard (formerly TasteLondon) was setup around four years ago and now has over 250,000 members. The idea is you subscribe to the card and then you can use their web site to find one of the 3500 restaurants and takeaways in London that accepts TasteCard.
Each restaurant offers either 50% off the cost of a meal for a group, or a two for one offer (2 people only), potentially saving a lot of money.
The subscription to the card currently costs £65 / year so it’s better suited to those who do a lot of outside dining in London.
There are some restrictions depending on individual restaurant policy, but nothing that you wouldn’t expect from any standard offer. For example some won’t accept the card on Friday / Saturday nights, you may need to pre-book and some only offer it on a first visit.
There’s more details on how to join up and any restrictions, along with the full list of restaurants on the TasteCard web site.
For those outside of London, it looks like the TasteCard team are planning to expand nationwide so soon we’ll all be able to save money while dining out.
Oh and yes – they do have an iPhone app which should come in handy in London.
To clarify, TasteCard is purely an eating out discount card and not a chargecard or credit type card.
