London commuters who have to use the Jubilee line have been promised that the station closures should be completed by Spring 2011 after numerous overruns and missed deadlines.
The work to upgrade the Jubilee line has been ongoing since 2007 and has caused more than a hundred stations to close every weekend along the popular Tube line, which in turn has caused much frustration to the people of London who depend on it.
Now London Underground which took over the work from the original Tube Lines maintenance company says it is confident the delays have been sorted and it should be able to keep all the stations open 7 days a week during the remainder of the work, possibly from even as early as Christmas. If they manage this should greatly assist visitors to the capital doing their London Christmas shopping.
