Manna – One of London’s oldest vegetarian restaurants

There are many “trendy” vegetarian restaurants in London, but if you want authentic vegetarian and vegan food then Manna is a good bet.

Unlike most of the modern vegetarian restaurants which have sprung up to cater for the “fashionable vegetarians”, Manna has created a well established formula of offering genuine vegetarian and vegan cuisine.

The restaurant also proves that the idea of vegetarian and vegan food being purely quorn, soya and mung beans is simply wrong or at least should be. Dishes such as organic aubergine, red pepper, spinach and mozzarella stack are just some of the menu items on the menu which sound a whole lot more tasty than a quorn burger.

A few other items taken randomly from the current menu include oyster mushroom tempura, ravioli, indonesian satay, enchilada tradicional and manna crispy marinated tofu. They even do a “create your own” menu where you can pick four side items for a custom main course.

For those who aren’t vegetarian, there’s always more traditional style dishes such as vegetarian bangers and mash, and reading the reviews we’re sure they use much better quality vege sausages than you get in supermarkets.
