Over the last few years, Christmas German Markets seem to have sprung up all over the place as the people of Britain discover there’s a little more to Christmas than turkey, turkey and turkey leftovers.
One such popular market is the Christkindelmarkt* which is held in the Millennium Square in Leeds city centre from November to the 19th December, so you still have a couple of days left for those last minute Christmas presents.
The market is mostly based around German foods with such favourites as Glühwein and Bratwurst available, alongside various gifts and crafts. More details on the Leeds Christkindelmarkt web site.
* Although Leeds city council call this the Christkindelmarkt, it seems the real German spelling is Christkindlmarkt according to Google.
