Would you pay £140m for a London apartment?

One Hyde Park in London is claiming to be selling the world’s most expensive apartments with prices starting at a mere £6.5m.

There are selection of 86 apartments situated in Knightsbridge, ranging from a one bedroomed apartment at around £6.5 million ($10m) right up to the penthouse which can be yours in the region of £140 million ($222m)!

Of course for this money you are afforded a few luxuries such as the shared cinema, a 21 metre swimming pool, saunas, a gym, virtual games room and a golf simulator which is probably a good idea as finding a golf course in London could be difficult.

If you’re feeling peckish, there is always the private underground tunnel to the Mandarin Oriental next door which allows the staff from the 5-star hotel to serve apartment residents 24 hours a day.

Holiday apartments: The big question around our office is – will any of these apartments be turned into very exclusive and very expensive self-catering apartments?

The per night charge could be quite high to rent the penthouse, but considering the Savoy charges £10,000 a night for its penthouse, this at least in theory would be feasible. Perhaps even the Manderin next door is considering this in secret.
