TV host Davina McCall, famous for fronting Big Brother has now launched a charity bike ride exclusively for women to support Action Medical Research on Sunday 8th May at Midhurst, West Sussex.
There will be two versions of the charity bike ride, at 50km and 100km (31 miles and 62 miles) through the Sussex countryside, which should help even the most unused-to-riding forget about any slight aches. The charity is making sure that participants are well looked after with plenty of rest stops and a fully-serviced lunch, along with staff riders, first aiders and massage therapists on hand.
Action Medical Research supports research into various illnesses and conditions which affect children including meningitis, epilepsy, cerebral palsy and premature birth, along with rare conditions which affect babies and children.
Entry costs £28 and you will also need to raise a minimum of £50 in sponsorship. There’s more information and registration forms on the Davina DIVA100 web site.
