Drivers in Bradford must have thought it was an April Fools joke when they discovered the Rooley Lane store ASDA was selling petrol for 12.9p a litre, but it turned out to be completely genuine.
The petrol station which is entirely automated had the wrong price entered by staff and thus for two hours drivers queued to fill up at a price that probably hasn’t been seen since the 1970s, although the earliest we could find was 54p back in 1995.
The prices have now been corrected, but at least for one short time there was happiness over the fuel prices in Britain. It turns out, they are still selling petrol and diesel cheaper than most other petrol stations.
