Deadline day for London 2012 Olympics tickets

Hurry! Today is the last day that you can apply for London 2012 Olympics tickets.  If you haven’t already put your application in, you have until midnight tonight (well, 23.59 GMT apparently) to do so.  Interest in the tickets is said to be very high.  If you want to attend the opening ceremony, your best chances are by crossing your fingers and hoping (it’ll still be unlikely that you’re successful due to demand) or applying for higher priced tickets which may be less sought after than the cheapest available.  If you just want to attend any Olympic event, then go for some of the less mainstream sports or some of the earlier heat stages rather than medal-winning ones.  Sports such as handball, mountain biking or canoeing, for instance.  In all, there are 650 sessions across 26 sports and 17 days to choose from but – whilst that might sound like a lot – it’s not even remotely enough for every person in London to have just one ticket each.

Good luck with your applications. Please let us know what tickets – if any – you’re going for, by posting a comment.
