Head to Scotland for the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup

Fort William is the place to be on 4th and 5th June 2011 for the world’s best and most extreme mountain bike action, as the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup hits the slopes of Aonach Mor for the 10th year of fierce competition. World famous UK downhill riders such as World Champion Tracy Moseley, World Cup overall Champion Gee Atherton and the most successful rider of all time, Steve Peat will take on more than 250 riders from 25 countries.

The Downhill and 4X tracks at the Nevis range ski area are amongst the most challenging in the world. The downhill starts at the top of the mountain gondola with stunning views over Loch Linnhe to Skye in the far distance and descends more than 500m in 2.6km, across open mountain, through woodland into the finish arena. The atmosphere is incredible as more than 8,000 spectators cheer on the riders in this unique sporting location that has won more than 27 UK and international awards.
