Ghosts and ghouls halt London tube trains on Halloween

Halloween is of course the traditional time for ghosts and ghouls to play mischief, but never before have they stopped a London Underground line with something so simple as a witches hat!

The London Underground trains around Camden and Kentish Town were halted after a witches hat ended up on the line at Chalk Farm underground station, causing a power outage. Apparently the hat contained a metal rim which shorted the lines and meant hundreds of passengers on four trains were initially stuck in the trains for around an hour, before having to walk down the tracks.

Luckily the delays happened at around 12:40am on Sunday morning so only limited trains were running, but since this is the traditionally the witching hour one can only assume foul play and mischief were the likely causes. All trains are now back to schedule.
