This week is British Sausage Week!

Filed under Eating & Drinking, Events

Did you know that this week is British Sausage Week?  No, neither did we until this morning.  British Sausage Week runs from 1st to 7th November 2010 and is embraced by chefs, retailers and consumers alike. This year British Sausage Week looks to be no different, as it celebrates its 13th anniversary, with a high profile programme of activities.  See the website for more information.

And on that note, we leave you with this clip from the classic 80s political sitcom, ‘Yes Minster’.

We had a British Sausage day at the pub where i once worked and it’s amazing just how many of the blinking bangers there are out there. Seems sausages are like wine whereby if you can think of it, someone will have made that flavour…!

Tomato sausages remain my favourite but not seen them for years, so no doubt EU have banned them for being too unsausage-like.

I wanna make a complaint! Just checked out the web site and its only about pork sausages, not beef or various other varieties that are out there. Plus what happened to veggie sausages? Time to call the Daily Mail and get middle England up in arms.

Not at all, we have thirty different types of sausage from goat, pigeon, venison, boar to our veggie varieties – Stilton & walnut, Basil & Vine tomato etc etc
The world of sausage has never been so prolific, or so popular
